Competent Authority Pathway
No Exam

For doctors registered in countries with recognised assessment systems (UK, Canada, US, NZ, Ireland). Bypasses AMC exams entirely.

Eligibility

Full registration or equivalent from the UK (GMC/PLAB), Canada (LMCC), USA (USMLE), New Zealand (NZREX), or Ireland (MCI).

Standard Pathway
Exam Required

For IMGs who do not qualify for the Competent Authority route. Requires passing the AMC CAT MCQ examination and a clinical assessment (AMC Clinical Exam or Workplace Based Assessment).

Eligibility

Primary medical degree from an AMC/WDOMS-recognised institution. Must complete EPIC verification before sitting exams.
